Continuing Care Program in Georgia

Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery offers a top aftercare program individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Located in Ball Ground, near Atlanta, Georgia, Blue Ridge provides a full spectrum of care, offering lasting recovery.

Aftercare

At Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center, we recognize that recovery can be a challenging process. We also understand your path to wellness does not end with the conclusion of residential rehab care. For this reason, Blue Ridge is proud to one of Georgia’s leading treatment centers to offer support for continuing care services for our clients.

Continuing care is encouraged for every client, and the education of ongoing therapy is given to each client as well. The importance of continuing care is also stressed to all clients so that they can understand the benefits of sustaining successful recovery.

Our clients begin developing a continuing care plan from the moment they arrive to our treatment program. Upon discharge, each client will have a scheduled referral whether that be to outpatient services, extended care services or a mixture of both. For those clients needing extended care programming, the staff facilitates the investigation and placement at those facilities prior to discharge. We use a wide array of providers to either support, supplement or continue the care of clients we work with.

Relapse Program

While everyone hopes for lasting wellness, the path to ongoing recovery often includes occasional relapses. Substance use relapses are nothing to be ashamed of. Blue Ridge understands the importance of obtaining healing treatment as soon as possible after any substance relapse. Faster treatment can lead to a more successful recovery.

“The Expedition” is our relapse recovery program which is an excursion to uncover the truth and reestablish a strong foundation in sobriety. It is specifically designed to help those who have relapsed to recover from their set back. This program requires the development of a personalized relapse recovery plan in which clients and their families or loved ones will:

  • Complete multiple assessments, one being a relapse assessment
  • Get reintroduced to relapse prevention skills
  • Reestablish healthy boundaries and communication
  • Develop an aftercare plan
  • Participate in peer support activities

Program Structure

We structure this program around the same three learning styles we utilize in our residential program; cognitive (intellectual learning), effective (emotional learning) and skills development (“how to” learning). We want to engage the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, social, legal and vocational needs of our clients helping them transform from their relapse back into a healthy, “whole person”.

We are available by phone to any of our program graduates. If you are experiencing wellness concerns, relapses of substance use, or simply need resources, we are available. At Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center in Georgia, your healing is our priority.

There are several areas of the programming that I LOVE, but weekly yoga and DBT have to be some of the highlights.
