Stephen Register
Chief Executive Officer
Stephen Register brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience across pharmaceutical and behavioral health operations. He began his career in pharmaceutical sales, advancing into multiple specialty areas including cardiology, urology, endocrinology, electrophysiology, and neurology.
Nearly 15 years ago, Stephen transitioned into business development for an Acadia-owned mental health and substance use inpatient facility in Georgia. Within a year and a half, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Since then, he has led multiple hospitals and residential treatment centers across Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Indiana, and Ohio. He has also served in two Divisional President roles, overseeing facilities nationwide from California to Florida.
Stephen further broadened his impact as Executive Director of the Georgia State Office of Rural Health, where he worked closely with 67 rural hospitals to strengthen access to care across the state. In addition to his healthcare leadership experience, Stephen is an honorable veteran of the United States Navy.
He is proud to return home as a native Georgian and is excited to lead Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center into its next chapter.
