Our Philosophy

You face many challenges each day, but you don’t have to face them alone. Let Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center help you discover your inner strength and overcome your trials with confidence.

Acceptance, Belonging & Competency

At Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center, we strive to provide the most comfortable and comprehensive treatment experience to any individual who walks through our doors. Our staff desires to make everyone feel accepted. We want to help our clients and our communities become knowledgeable about the disease of addiction and the process of recovery. We utilize empathy, understanding, and compassion to soften the difficult and often traumatic experiences of addiction. Our hope is to make both our clients and their families hungry for a new life and new purpose.

As we work hard to do this, we are sensitive to our client’s welfare and confidentiality. We want our clients to feel safe and secure that they can acquire the help they need without sacrificing their privacy. The Blue Ridge staff accomplishes this through awareness and expertise in the field and by portraying daily integrity in what we do.

We also recognize the importance of carrying the message about the disease of addiction and the recovery process to those outside the borders of Blue Ridge. We believe we have an obligation to be educated and versed in such a manner about this disease that we can help society better understand its devastating effects and the possibility that, yes, people can find recovery.

Blue Ridge doesn’t believe people have to immediately want to receive help in order to experience recovery. We believe that when given the right chance in the right atmosphere, people can and do recover from this tragic disease. Blue Ridge is that right chance and that right atmosphere. Blue Ridge stands united in passion, dedication and commitment not only in serving our local community but also our nation.

Setting a Standard of Excellence

We are committed to the following:

  • Setting the standard of excellence in the field of chemical dependency and the treatment of co-occurring illnesses (addiction and psychiatric disorders)
  • Treating our clients and others with dignity and respect
  • Developing relationships with the community, and continually adapting and improving our services to best meet the needs of others
  • Establishing an environment of enthusiasm and excitement about the worthiness of our work
  • Offering an outstanding work environment, which affords employees the opportunity to thrive and grow both professionally and personally

At Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center, we believe that each person:

  • Possesses the right be treated with dignity, regardless of creed, gender, race, age, sexual orientation, or ethnic origin
  • Is a unique and holistic creation with right to life, dignity, and worth as a person and as a member of society
  • Has an inherent potential for growth and change
  • Has the ability to continually adapt to a changing environment; an environment which, on a daily basis, challenges the balance between disease and health

Our fundamental goal is to restore the individual to a healthier, happier, and more productive life, free from dependence on addictive chemicals and other destructive behaviors.

Successful recovery encompasses improvements in self-esteem, positive family interaction, interpersonal relationships, vocational productivity, the establishment and attainment of realistic life goals. Blue Ridge provides individuals with the opportunity to learn new, healthy skills in a safe, comfortable environment that treats the whole person.

I will forever be thankful for the time I spent at Blue Ridge!
